Bicester - Sunday 9 October

Ahh, Bicesto! The winning season continued with Wallingford U7's visiting Wallingford for a series of friendly matches at the RSA ground. A great turnout of 26 players with supporting vocal parents enjoyed a great morning of rugby and we are very pleased to report a clean sweep of wins ( although I believe one may have a hint of controversy!!) The large number of players meant a series of rolling replacements through all games meaning everybody had a share of the limelight and got in on the action and it was great to hear the support of the 'supersubs' while their team mates were playing. Lots of players impressed and it looks like Jason will have his hands full for the team selections to play at the Reading tournament next week. Well done to all. Thanks to all at Bicester for a great morning of rugby and we look fwd to more fun at Reading on Sunday.

Wallingford U7's get into the Grove!!

10 Excited U7's stepped up for their first ever tournament today on what was one of the hottest days of the year.

After three sound wins against Gosford All Blacks A's, Witney A's and Abingdon A's, our boys finally ran out of steam and were defeated by two points in a very well fought out back to back match against Faringdon A's.

Despite that, the team went on to win their Pool and onto a well deserved place in the Semi's against the hosts, Grove.

What a game! All of our players had the opportunity to take part with rolling substitutions throughout the match in very warm conditions. With a disallowed Wallingford try in the last few minutes, Grove snatched victory to win by a single point. It was agreed that both teams were well matched, resulting in a very enjoyable game for both sides.

Overall, a performance for our team to be proud of! Thanks to our hosts for a great day.
